Google Calendar Integration

Neuriq seamlessly integrates with Google Calendar for event management.

How It Works

Writing Events

When you dump something like “Meeting with Sarah next Tuesday at 3pm”, Neuriq:

  1. Recognizes it as an event
  2. Extracts the date, time, and participants
  3. Creates an event in your “Neuriq Events” calendar
  4. Syncs it to Google Calendar

Reading Events

When you ask “What’s on my agenda tomorrow?”, Neuriq:

  1. Reads from calendars you’ve selected
  2. Combines with Neuriq-created events
  3. Shows you a unified view

The Neuriq Calendar

For privacy, Neuriq creates its own calendar:

  • Name: “Neuriq Events”
  • Color: Indigo (matches Neuriq branding)
  • Visibility: Only you can see it

This means:

  • ✅ Your personal calendar stays untouched
  • ✅ Work calendars remain separate
  • ✅ You can easily identify Neuriq-created events
  • ✅ Deleting the Neuriq calendar removes all Neuriq events

Selecting Readable Calendars

Control which calendars Neuriq can read:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Find “Calendars for Brain”
  3. Check the calendars you want Neuriq to see
  4. Save changes

Default: Only your primary calendar is enabled.

Syncing

Events sync in real-time:

  • Create an event in Neuriq → appears in Google Calendar immediately
  • Modify in Google Calendar → changes reflect in Neuriq
  • Delete in either place → removed from both

Troubleshooting

Events not appearing

  1. Check that sync is enabled in Settings
  2. Verify the “Neuriq Events” calendar exists
  3. Try manually refreshing the page

Wrong times

Ensure your timezone is set correctly in both Neuriq and Google Calendar.

Can’t see calendar

You may need to reconnect your Google account.
