The Dump

The Dump is your zero-friction capture tool. Think of it as texting your future self.

How It Works

  1. Open the Dump (sidebar → “Dump” or press D)
  2. Type, paste, or speak whatever’s on your mind
  3. Hit Send (or press Enter)
  4. Neuriq’s AI processes your input
  5. Review the generated items
  6. Click “Save All” to add them to your brain

What You Can Dump

Text

Just type naturally. No special formatting required.

Voice

Click the microphone icon to use voice input. Neuriq transcribes and processes your speech automatically.

Images

Paste or upload screenshots and photos. Neuriq uses AI vision to read text from images.

How AI Categorizes

Neuriq automatically determines what type each item is:

TypeTrigger Examples
Task”Remind me to…”, “Todo:”, action verbs
EventDates, times, “meeting”, “appointment”
KnowledgeFacts, notes, “TIL”, information without action

Confidence Scoring

Not sure about a categorization? Neuriq shows a confidence score.

  • High confidence (>85%): Item is auto-processed
  • Low confidence (<85%): Item goes to Inbox for your review

You can adjust this threshold in Settings → AI & Brain.

Tips for Effective Dumping

  1. Be natural — Write like you’re texting yourself
  2. Include context — “Meeting about Q3 budget” is better than “Meeting”
  3. Dates are magic — “tomorrow”, “next Monday”, “in 2 weeks” all work
  4. Dump often — Get things out of your head immediately
  5. Don’t overthink — You can always edit later
